Time and Work! (Oh yeah!! being Micro-managed)

Have you ever felt the crunch of Special projects at work(I mean high priority, time sensitive projects and add TONS of Micro-managing situations day in and day out) and time catching upto you quickly before you could even prepare yourself? This happened alot to me lately and I did my best. How do you handle this from over powering your emotional preparedness?

How do you deal with micro-management? Advance thanks to all contributors.

whenever we are in a crunch or on deadline i make a list of EVERYTHING that needs to be done to complete a project. especially in the last two days of a Newsreel edit. there are hundreds of small details... the list gets long. but if i can check them off one by one everything seems more manageable.

See this situation is very specifically about being micromanaged by other individuals who are not of your department. Say for example they ask you to do a job, and every now and then, peek into your work, and tell you how you should do the job. They do this inspite of your best attempt to review throroughly to get the job done. How would you handle that?

Hope this makes sense. :-)

sorry, i never responded. yeah, they probably think they are just managing... but are really micromanaging. my guess is they are nervous about something. you might ask them what's making them worry?
